Full Notification

Nicor Gas and NPL will begin utility relocation work on November 20, 2017. The work will take place on State Street (IL 171), from 8^th Street to 10^th Street in Downtown Lockport.  The work duration is anticipated to last four (4) weeks.  
 
Traffic will be impacted in the area during the utility relocation.  State Street (IL 171) will have one (1) southbound lane open to traffic and two (2) northbound lanes open to traffic during construction.  One (1) southbound lane and the on street parking lane will be closed for the duration of the project. 
 
There will also be the potential for additional temporary lane closures as needed during the construction process.  This includes an overnight closure of 9^th Street (IL 7) at State Street (IL 171).  This closure is anticipated to take place over the course of three (3) nights.
 
All businesses will remain open during construction.
