Updated: Press Release Decatur Rd Fatal

Sheriff Richard Behnke reports his office is investigating a single vehicle fatal which occurred Decatur Rd near Shurte St in Penn Twp of Cass County, Michigan. This crash occurred 11-13-2017 at approx 1044 hrs. Emergency Personnel responded to the scene after Russell Jett Jr, 34 yrs of Kalamazoo, MI left the roadway and struck a tree. Jett Jr was killed in the crash. Jett Jr who worked for Tire Wholesalers of Kalamazoo, MI was headed to Cassopolis when the crash occurred. Penn Twp Fire, Cass Central Fire and Life Care Ambulance worked with Deputies at the scene. Alcohol and Drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash. Jett Jr is believed to have been wearing his seatbelt at the time of crash.
