Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Wednesday, 11/8/17. 
Good Thursday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Wednesday, 11/8/17.
-Onion Shed Rd at Hwy 84, Anton: Theft. A deputy was dispatched to a reported stolen trailer in the area. Multiple items were taken and an investigation into the offenses is ongoing.
-1310 Avenue H, LEC: A deputy spoke with a complainant regarding a individuals traveling to Hockley County from outside the state, and one of the parties having an active warrant. The information was passed on to deputies.
-FM 1490 at E. Ellis, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to assist with a vehicle crash at the intersection. DPS personnel investigated the crash and deputies provided traffic control assistance while the scene was being worked.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
Jail population as of 11/9/17 at 0800 hours: 50 in Hockley County, 4 to be processed, 7 out of county.
