Vehicle Accident/Suspended License:
At 6:38 a.m., Officer Tatola and Officer Liu were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the 3600 block of Norfolk Rd.  Once there, they contacted the driver, a 29 year old Fremont resident, who was found to have been driving on a suspended license.  He was cited for driving on a suspended license and his vehicle was towed from the scene.  The suspect was released from the scene and made his way north where he decided to continue his day by committing the following:

#013 Stolen Vehicle Arrest
At 10:54 a.m., two FedEx employees exited their delivery truck, leaving it running, and went inside a commercial establishment at the Fremont Hub.  They heard their truck’s engine revving then saw it drive away southbound through the parking lot.  The truck was equipped with a portable GPS tracking device, however one of the employees took the device inside with him.  About 40 minutes later, the truck was located by a community member in an apartment complex just south of the Fremont Hub, unoccupied and still running.  The employees responded and noted that it did not appear that anything was taken from the truck.  About 30 minutes later, a community member on Margery called to report a suspicious person, matching the suspect’s description, knocked on her door asking to use her phone.  Officers quickly arrived and detained a 29 year old adult male who they had previously had contact with earlier in the morning and confirmed he was the suspect.  This time he received a ride to jail.

#034 Shoplifting/Theft
Officers were dispatched to the Ulta retail store at the Hub after two female suspects stole merchandise.  The suspects got into a grey Honda minivan with pink paper plates. 

#038 DUI Arrest
At 5:08 p.m., Fremont Fire Fighters at station 7 (Grimmer Blvd/Automall) were surprised when a female driver followed them into the back lot of the fire station.  They called for PD assistance after they suspected the driver was intoxicated.  Officers conducted an investigation and ultimately arrested 37 year old Fremont resident for DUI.  The female had no recollection of driving.  She was transported to a local hospital due to her intoxication level before being transported to Santa Rita Jail.

#039 Drug Influence Arrest
A resident called 9-1-1 after seeing a suspicious male walking in the neighborhood.  The caller witnessed the male acting strangely and was searching the contents of a woman’s purse.  Officer J. Bordy located a male matching the description and determined that he was under the influence of a stimulant drug.   The 37 year old was arrested and the information about the purse is being investigated.

#041 Drunk in Public
At 7:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the area of Mowry/Farwell where a male was passed out behind the wheel of a car.  They arrived and found Fremont Fire attending to an intoxicated 44 year old male, Van Nuys resident who was initially unresponsive.   There were no witnesses to put him behind the wheel driving.  It was determined that he was not in a position to care for himself.  He was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Fremont jail.

#022 Unlicensed Driver
Officer Higgins conducted a traffic stop Fremont Blvd at Monroe Ave and arrested a 23 year old adult male for driving while unlicensed.

#023 Warrant and Suspended License Arrest
Officer Floresca conducted a traffic stop on Auto Mall Pkwy at Osgood Rd. During the stop, Officer Floresca arrested a 51 year old adult male for an out of county felony drugs for sale warrant, a misdemeanor drug possession warrant and for driving while suspended.

#009 Possession of Methamphetamine
At 7:47 a.m., Officer Tran and Francisco responded to a retail establishment in the area of Decoto Rd. and Fremont Blvd. regarding a woman acting suspicious in the store.  A 33 year old adult female was contacted and ultimately arrested for possession of
methamphetamine.

#018 Auto Burglary
Officer Tucker investigated an auto burglary that occurred around 12:00 p.m., in the In-n-Out Burger lot in Pacific Commons.  The victim’s window was smashed and luggage was taken.

#029 Possession of a Controlled Substance
At 5:30 p.m., Officer Blanchet conducted a pedestrian stop in a parking lot in the 46100 block of Research Ave and subsequently arrested a 45 year old adult male, San Jose resident for possession of a controlled substance and a 44 year old adult female, San Jose resident for possession of a controlled substance and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

#024 Brandishing a Weapon
At 2:16 p.m., a caller reported to 9-1-1 that he saw a male brandish a handgun on several people after an argument in the 4000 block of Providence Tr.  Officers responded and located the involved parties.  Four juveniles were causing a disturbance at the apartment complex when the suspect confronted them.  One of the juveniles brandished brass knuckles at the suspect.  The suspect left with his friend.  The suspect would later return and confront the juveniles again.  This time the suspect brandished what the juveniles believed was a handgun.  Officers located the gun, which turned out to be a pellet gun.  A 29 year old adult male, Fremont resident was arrested to brandishing a replica firearm (PC417.4).  Investigated by Officer Franchi.

#030 DUI Arrest
At 5:39 p.m., Officers responded to a non-injury collision in the 4200 block of Margery Dr. and determined one of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol.  Officer Berrier arrested a 63 year old adult male, Fremont resident for DUI. 

Auto Burglaries: Possible suspect vehicle is a white Dodge Charger

#034 Five Guys Burgers – Pac Commons between 7:40 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Driver side front window smashed and laptop, backpack and person items, in excess of $1700 taken.

#035 Buffalo Wild Wings – Pac Commons between 7:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.  Front passenger window of vehicle smashed.  A backpack with a MackBook Pro laptop was taken from the front passenger floorboard. Loss valued at $2380. 

#036 Asian Pearl – Pac Commons between 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  Left rear window shattered.  The unknown suspect(s) opened a bag inside the vehicle, but did not steal it once they realized there was nothing inside.  There was no further loss from this vehicle.

#021 DUI Arrest
At 12:49 p.m., Officer Tucker stopped a vehicle in the area of Paseo Padre and Gomes Rd. and arrested a 30 year old adult male for drunk driving.

#006 Theft
CSO Spencer and FTO Goralczyk investigated the theft of tools and disaster preparedness kits from a shed that occurred over the weekend at Brier Elementary School.

#008 Collision
Officer Balcorta and Traffic FTO Piol investigated an injury accident between a bicycle and a vehicle at Mowry/Walnut.  The bicyclist had abrasions from the accident but did not require transportation to the hospital.

#039 Arson
Officers responded to Warwick Elementary concerning an arson report.  The reporting party stated that two male juveniles were seen starting a fire on the school property. 
Suspect #1: Hispanic male juvenile, last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.  Last seen riding a grey bike.  
Suspect #2: Hispanic male juvenile last seen wearing a navy blue hoodie, and riding a black bike with red rims. 

#049 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officer Paiva made a stop on a bicyclist for a vehicle code violation on Auto Mall Pkwy at Technology Dr.  He arrested a 32 year old adult male for possession of a methamphetamine pipe and violated his probation.  He was booked at Fremont Jail.

#050 Suspended License Arrest
O’Neal conducted a traffic stop on Fremont Blvd at Blacow Rd.  He arrested and cited a 63 year old adult male for driving with a suspended license.
