Arroyo Grande Residents Can Now Receive Real Time Public Safety Messages Through Nixle

Arroyo Grande, CA - The Arroyo Grande Police Department has partnered with Nixle to implement its Community Notification System to alert residents in real-time for localized emergency situations and relevant community advisories.

As a resident, there are several simple ways to register:

1. Text your ZIPCODE (93420) to 888777 from your mobile phone
OR
2. Go to https://ca-arroyogrande.civicplus.com/123/Police and sign up via the Nixle Widget

Once registered, residents will receive a confirmation text to their mobile device. Residents may also customize their alert settings by going to www.nixle.com and creating a User Profile.

We see this as a valuable tool that will enable the Arroyo Grande Police Department the opportunity to provide critical information to our community in a more efficient manner.

The service is secure, reliable and easy to use for our organization.

All Alerts will be targeted geographically, allowing residents to receive localized, relevant alerts from the Arroyo Grande Police Department.
