The Engineering Department for the City of Jackson , along with the Tennessee Department Of Transportation (TDOT) has approved the following temporary road closures: *Veteran's Day Event road closures below begins Friday, 11/10/2017, at 6 p.m. for parking only (will be coned off) and on Saturday, 11/11/2017, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for the event as follows: all lanes on Main Street, from East side of Highland Avenue to the west side of Liberty Street; all lanes on Baltimore Street from the east side of Highland Avenue to the west side of Liberty Street; parking lot on the corner of Highland & Lafayette; for the Veteran's Day event downtown. *Engineering has also approved the temporary road closures for the parade route for the "Veteran's Day Parade." Parade line up begins around 10:30 a.m., & starts at 11:00 a.m. *Parade route temporary closure is as follows: two-lanes Auditorium St at the Civic Center, north to south side Chester St frontage Rd.; two-lanes south side of Chester Street frontage Road at Auditorium (at Civic Center), East to Royal Street; two-lanes North on Royal Street to North side of Chester St frontage Rd; two lanes West on North side Chester St frontage Rd to Church St; two-lanes North on Church St to Baltimore Street; two-lanes West on Baltimore Street to Liberty Street; two-lanes North on Liberty Street to College Street; two-lanes East on College Street to Royal Street; two-lanes South on Royal Street to south side of Chester St frontage Rd; If you have any questions regarding the road closure, please contact the Engineering Department at 425-8221.
