October 24th
Warrant, Controlled Substance Possession - Cutting Blvd / San Pablo Ave:
At 0857 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 36-year-old Richmond man who had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF. A passenger in the vehicle, a 41-year-old Richmond man was in possession of heroin and methamphetamine. He was arrested, booked and released on a citation.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon - 10340 San Pablo Ave:
At 1004 hours, Officers responded to the report of a subject being hit in the back of the head with a Jack Daniels bottle. The bottle shattered when the victim was struck in the back of the head. The suspect, a 36-year-old Richmond man was located on the BART trail. He was intoxicated and uncooperative. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.
Auto Burglary – 100 block of Carmel Ave:
At 0944 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 2000 hours on Oct. 23rd and 0930 hours on October 24th, an unidentified suspect shattered the rear window of an SUV to gain access but there was no loss.
Warrant Arrest – (Jack in the Box) 5920 Cutting Blvd:
At 2027 hours, an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle and arrested a 43-year-old Richmond man on a no cite Solano County and San Mateo County warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and transported to MDF on the warrant.
Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave / Hill St:
At 2325 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 28-year-old Sacramento man on a Kern County warrant. He was arrested and released on a citation.
October 25th
Robbery – Potrero Ave / I-80:
At 0130 hours an officer responded to the report of a robbery. An unknown suspect approached the victim from behind, placed a hard object against his back, and demanded the victim drop his property. Fearing the suspect had a gun, the victim dropped his bags, which the suspect took and fled on foot eastbound on Potrero Ave. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, and wearing dark clothing.
Grand Theft – (Safeway) 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1515 hours, an officer responded to the report of a bike theft. A custom gray Kirk bicycle with white forks and blue rims was stolen. The suspect cut the lock between 1500-1510 hours.
Shoplifter – (Big 5) 11060 San Pablo Ave:
At 1455 hours, an unidentified BMA, 30’s, 1’10” thin build, wearing a white hat, black shirt, sunglasses and gray sweatpants stole an armful of clothing items. He fled towards San Pablo Ave.
Theft - (Safeway) 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1638 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft of a wallet at Safeway. The victim’s wallet and credit cards were stolen and being used at an unknown location. The suspect was a black male, 30’s, 5’08” medium build, black shirt with brown logo and black hat and athletic shoes.
Warrants, Controlled Substance Possession – 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 1939 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 38-year-old Richmond man on three Contra Costa County warrants, all stemming from ECPD cases. He was on Contra Costa County probation and also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was booked at the ECPD and transported to MDF.
October 26th
Commercial Burglary – (AT&T) 4010 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 0204 hours, officers responded to a glass break and interior motion at the business. Officers arrived and discovered the north exit/entrance was shattered. A K9 searched the interior with negative results. The assistance manager arrived on scene and estimated a large quantity of Beats wireless headsets and Blue Tooth devices were taken. The estimated loss at the time of the report was $10,000. Officers reviewed video and saw at approximately 0159 hours three suspects approached the north exit/entrance and shatter it using a rock. The suspects enter the business and began to open drawers and place merchandise into garbage bags. The suspects also pried open the security door that leads to the break and office area. The suspects then exit the business and get into an awaiting car which is parked on Fairmount Avenue just out of view of the camera. The vehicle appears to flee west on Fairmount Avenue. Suspects are unknown race males, wearing black hooded sweaters with the hoods pulled over their face, blue jeans and dark colored shoes. The suspects appear to be in their late teens or early 20’s.
Residential Burglary – 1900 block of Junction Ave:
At 0937 hours, Officers responded to the report of a residential burglary. At approximately 0900 hours, a neighbor saw a black male juvenile, approximately 13-15 years old, wearing a black puffy coat with a hood, white pants and carrying a black backpack walk down the side of the house. She tried to call the non-emergency number to report it and was put on hold. The resident arrived and the neighbor alerted her of the subject who then appeared from the side yard and then fled north onto Knott Ave. Two window screens were removed and a garden tool appeared to have been used.
Robbery – (Verizon) 410 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1835 hours, an officer reports a suspect entered the business and began to cut security cables from merchandise. An employee approached the suspect and asked what he was doing. The suspect replied “Taking what is mine”. The suspect then asked the employee “are you going to do something about it” while point the knife at the employee. The suspect then fled out the business toward San Pablo Avenue. Total loss was approximately $300.00.
October 27th
Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave / Macdonald Ave:
At 2133 hours an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, a 41-year-old Richmond male. It was determined he had three a felony warrants. He was transported to county jail.
DUI - Ashbury Ave / Stockton Ave:
At 0242 hours, an officer arrested a 31-year-old Buena Vista male for DUI. He was transported to county jail.
October 28th
No incidents to report.
October 29th
Warrant Arrest - Central Avenue / I-80 W on ramp:
At 2033 hours, an officer was working speed enforcement in the area. He marked a vehicle traveling 41 MPH on Central Avenue and performed a traffic enforcement stop. He contacted both occupants, a 28-year-old Oakland female and a 28-year-old Oakland male, and learned each had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Both were transported to county jail.
Warrant Arrest - (Budget Inn) 10621 San Pablo Ave:
At 0407 hours, an officer arrested a 31-year-old Fremont female during a traffic stop for an outstanding felony warrant out of Redwood City. She was transported to county jail.
