Child found safe, after what was being called a possible child abduction outside the Burlington store in Southfield.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -
Child found safe, after what was being called a possible child abduction outside the Burlington store in Southfield.

A surveillance picture of a little girl walking out of the store with a man. Witnesses say she was hitting him and screaming "stranger danger".
This man is the little girl's father, but initially police were investigating it as a possible child abduction even though there were no reports of any missing children.

Hours later police determined the little girl was safe and that this man was no stranger at all.

And while this story isn't what it first appeared to be we all have to be aware that child abduction is real.
