Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports on 10/30/2017 at approximately 10:32 pm his deputies from Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle personal injury crash. The driver Leland H. Scott 63 yrs old from Vandalia, was driving west bound on Old 205 near Cassopolis Rd. when he lost control in the curve of the road and left the roadway causing his vehicle to roll over. Scott was the only occupant of the vehicle and suffered minor injuries. Scott was transported by Porter Ambulance to Elkhart General In Elkhart Ind. for treatment. Scott was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol was a factor in the crash. Deputies were assisted by Porter Fire and Ambulance personnel. The crash still remains under investigation.
