Safety Tips for Halloween
• Children under 12 should have adult supervision at all times
• Make sure your child has some type of light or reflective device
• Use only non-toxic makeup, test it on a small area prior to use
• Make sure the masks they wear don’t obstruct their vision
• Advise your child to never enter anyone’s home for any reason
• Make sure that your child does not eat any treats until you have a chance to inspect it. Never eat candy that was opened
• Trick or Treat at houses that have a light on
• Always stay in a group
• Make sure that your child is equipped with a cell phone
• Use sidewalks and try to stay in well lit areas
• Children and adults are reminded to put away electronic devices while walking and crossing the street
• Never cross the street between cars, use the intersection as a group
• Set a route and a time frame for your child to return home
