Happy Halloween! The police department would like to remind everybody that curfew for tonight and tomorrow is 8pm per ordinance. Also, trick-or-treating hours run from 3p-8p.

To help celebrate, we are doing a Halloween edition of MTPD Rocks! We have placed the pictured rocks in residential developments within our community, so be on the lookout for them while you are trick or treating. If you are lucky enough to find one, we would love to meet you and award you a special Halloween goodie bag! Be advised that the contents of the goodie bag include several products containing peanuts; we don’t want you meeting the EMTs too for an allergic reaction. Please share this post to help spread the word.

Enjoy your time and be safe! Please make sure the kids stay in a group and that you know where they will be. Reflective clothing/tape can be helpful as pedestrian injuries are the most common type to occur on Halloween. Have them carry a cell phone for immediate communication. Most importantly, have fun!
