Friday night, Oct. 27, 2017, at CMPD's DUI checkpoint on Flower St. and Newport Blvd., a total of 1,673 vehicles drove through and 520 were screened and yielded:
20 field sobriety tests
7 DUI (alcohol) arrests
3 arrests, including one arrestee with a loaded gun
8 unlicensed driver citations
7 vehicles impounded/stored
3 suspended driver citations
