NPD - Smoke in the Air, North Newport 
Public Notification for the City of Newport. Oregon Department of Forestry has a controlled burn that has jumped the line east of Long View Hills (North East of Newport).
The fire is approximately 5 acres, no evacuations have been ordered as there is NO threat to structures. If you can see and smell the smoke, shelter in place by closing your windows and doors to keep the smoke out.
