The coldest night of the fall is expected tonight, and subfreezing temperatures are anticipated for parts of the area. The freeze watch has therefore been upgraded to a freeze warning. ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING... ...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 9 AM CDT SATURDAY... The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 1 AM to 9 AM CDT Saturday. The Freeze Watch is no longer in effect.

* TIMING...Through 10 AM today for strong winds, and late tonight through Saturday morning for subfreezing temperatures.

* WINDS...Sustained north winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to near 40 mph this morning.

* TEMPERATURE...Low temperatures of 28-33 degrees late Friday night and Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Strong crosswinds on east-west oriented roadways may make driving difficult, primarily for lightweight and high profile vehicles. Loose outdoor objects may be blown about in the wind. Sensitive plants may be damaged or killed if left unprotected Friday night and Saturday morning. Some frost may also occur where temperatures do not quite reach freezing.
