DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and Upcoming Road Closure
DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
On Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 10AM to 2PM, the South Brunswick Police Department is taking part in DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. This one-day event will provide residents with no cost anonymous collection of unwanted and expired medicines. We urge our residents to safely dispose of their unused, unwanted, and expired medicine. The campaign calls on residents to clear out their medicine cabinets. Unused medications in homes create a public health and safety concern, because they can be accidentally ingested, stolen, misused, and abused.
Spread the word to your friends and neighbors to clear out their medicine cabinets. Prescription medication in the form of pills, tablet or capsule, can be disposed of at the South Brunswick Police Headquarters (540 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ) from 10AM to 2PM on Saturday October 28, 2017. Medications should be taken out of their original containers and placed into paper/plastic bags. Liquids, such as cough medicines, should be kept in their original containers. No syringes or sharp objects will be accepted. Anyone with questions can call (732) 329-4000 ext. 7447.
Upcoming Road Closure
Expect delays on Broadway Road and Miller Road this Saturday from 3PM to 6PM due to road closures. Plan alternate routes of travel during that time period if possible.
