The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
October 24th
0656 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated an auto burglary at Isla Restaurant, 5720 Mowry School Road. The loss is undetermined.
0713 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated an auto burglary at Homewood Suites, 39270 South Magazine Road. The loss is a laptop computer.
0718 Hours: Officer Mapes investigated an injury auto accident on Mowry Avenue at Alpenrose Court. The injured person was treated at the scene.
1317 Hours: Officer Pacheco contacted and arrested a 54-year-old transient male for his outstanding warrants on Newark Boulevard at Highway 84. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
2117 Hours: Officer D. Johnson investigated a window smash auto-burglary that occurred in the parking lot of Newark Buffet, 35201 Newark Boulevard. The loss was a back pack containing a laptop computer.
