Hollister Police Arrest Attempted Murder Fugitive During Probation Search

HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA –December 21, 2009– On December 19 at approximately 9:00PM officers of the Hollister Police Department and the San Benito County Probation Department
conducted a probation search on Almond Drive. Two brothers, one a fugitive wanted for attempted murder, were arrested.

Probation Officers were searching for Martin Del Real (25). During the search, they found him inside the residence and arrested him for violation of probation terms. While searching for Martin, officers found David Del Real (21) hiding under a pile of clothing in the laundry room of the residence.

David Del Real was wanted for a $500,000 attempted murder warrant stemming from an incident in February 2008. In that incident David Del Real allegedly shot an unarmed man on Western Court in Hollister. He had been a fugitive from justice since that time.
