Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Monday, 10/23/17. 
Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 10/23/17.
-6300 blk Beaver Rd, Smyer: Shots Fired. A deputy responded to the area related to a call of gun shots. The deputy met with several individuals who were target shooting. No offenses were observed or reported.
-6500 blk E. FM 597, Anton: Theft. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a stolen dog in the area. After speaking with all parties, it is believed the dog was not stolen. Information has been passed on to deputies to watch for the dog loose in the area.
-1800 blk S. College, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to the area to assist with the arrest of an individual with a felony warrant. The individual was arrested and transported without incident.
-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Inmate Issue. A deputy was dispatched to assist in the jail with an inmate causing a disruption. Deputies and detention staff spoke with the inmate and the issue was resolved. No offenses were reported.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
Jail population as of 10/24/17 at 0800 hours: 55 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, 13 out of county.
