Elberfeld man arrested after fleeing law enforcement. 
On October 22, 2017, at 9:18 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith observed a Black 1998 Pontiac Firebird traveling on State Road 57 with no working headlights. Upon attempting to stop the vehicle a short pursuit occurred with the vehicle finally coming to stop on State Road 57 near Sawmill Road. Deputy Smith placed the driver 23 year old Corbin Wira of Elberfeld into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Wira was charged with resisting law enforcement-fleeing in a vehicle. Mr. Wira was also issued citations for driving left of center, driving while suspended/infraction, and operating a vehicle without insurance. Mr. Wira has since posted a $750 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
