Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth (MACY) and Marshfield Clinic Health System are conducting a survey on illicit drug use

Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth (MACY) and Marshfield Clinic Health System are conducting a survey on illicit drug use. The purpose of this study is to gauge levels of the Marshfield community's perception and awareness of prescription drugs, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine use.


In 2016, 1,125 participants completed the survey and results indicated the following:
• 76% of community members feel illicit prescription drug use is a moderate or serious problem in Marshfield
• 75% feel heroin use is a moderate or serious problem in Marshfield
• 73% are moderately or extremely concerned about the effects of illicit prescription drug use in Marshfield
• 77% are moderately or extremely concerned about the effects of heroin use in Marshfield

The survey is intended for people who live or work in the Marshfield area.
