A River Flood Warning remains in effect for...The Saint Johns River near Cocoa, above Lake Harney near Geneva, near Sanford, near Deland, and at Astor. ...Major Flooding is ongoing above Lake Harney near Geneva... ...Moderate Flooding persists near Cocoa, near Sanford, near Deland, and near Astor... River levels are expected to remain nearly steady or only slightly decrease this week. Rainfall over the past two days has been light to moderate and should not lead to any significant rises on the river. Scattered to numerous showers and a few thunderstorms are forecast to continue over the river basin through at least Thursday. Regardless of additional rainfall over the basin, river levels will remain above flood stage for several weeks, with a very slow rate of decline. The continuation of a downward trend in river levels will depend on heavy or persistent rainfall occurring over the basin beyond the five-day forecast period. The Flood Warning Continues For The St. Johns River Near Sanford.
