REWARD OFFERED FOR INFO ON SHOOTING

South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond J. Hayducka said today that a reward has been posted for information leading to the identity of the suspect responsible for the shooting on Sunday. The shooting at the BP Gas Station on Route 27 and Alston Road seriously injured a 60-year-old attendant.
 

Detectives believe at around 4:15am the attendant was shot in a botched robbery attempt. Detectives have recovered physical evidence and are sifting through video surveillance. Detectives have interviewed witnesses and are looking for additional information. The victim remains in serious condition at an area hospital. Chief Hayducka said, “We believe there are people out there with information that can help us close this case. Our victim was just working extra hours to get ahead and he was shot. You can call, remain anonymous, and collect a reward for the information. That one call can make a difference.”

Those who call will be given instructions on how to collect cash rewards by using a numerical code that will be recognized by a local bank, which will pay the rewards following approval by Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County Inc.
