Advisory

Health Advisory, Spare the Air Alert and Red Flag Warning

Due to the very active wildfires in the North Bay and continued changing wind patterns, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District has extended a health advisory and Spare the Air Alert today.

Outside of the active fire areas, air quality will continue to be unpredictable and smoke may be visible throughout the Bay Area.

Unless you see flames or an active column of smoke, please do not call 9-1-1 to report smoke in the air.

The National Weather Service-San Francisco Bay Area Weather Forecast Office has issued a Red Flag warning today until 5PM. A mix of low humidity, strong winds and warm temperatures have the potential to create extreme fire behavior.

Please do not use power tools or equipment (lawn mower, weedeater, chainsaw, vegetation trimmer, etc.) that can create sparks and easily cause a fire.
