The Jersey City water main break that affected the morning rush hour today is not expected to be repaired in time for the evening commute, Jersey City officials said.
A 12-inch main on Route 1&9 South between Carlton Avenue and Spruce Street -- near the Tonnelle Circle and the lower level of Route 139 -- was reported around 5 a.m. this morning and caused extensive delays.
