Here is the Crime Information and Public Safety Report for Saugus (Zone 4) for September 25, 2017 through October 1, 2017:

09/25/17 
Vehicle Burglary- 28200 block of Houston Court 
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole a fragrance kit. 

09/26/17 
Grand Theft Auto- 32800 block of Bouquet Canyon Road 
Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked near the above location. 

09/27/17 
Shoplifting- 28100 block of Bouquet Canyon Road 
Person(s) unknown entered a business near the above location and stole display items. The suspect made no attempt to pay for the stolen items. 

10/01/17 
Residential Burglary- 22500 block of Tulip Court 
One suspect was arrested after the victim heard noises in her downstairs living area. The victim called the Sheriff’s Department who arrived shortly after. Deputies searched the area and located the suspect with the victim’s property. The suspect was ultimately arrested. 

 

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station Haunted Jailhouse Event 

The 28th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Haunted Jailhouse & Community Open House event will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The popular event, which has become a yearly tradition, will include kids & adults jailhouse tours, entertainment, petting zoo, game booths and Sheriff’s Department displays. 

There will be costume judging taking place at the following times: Under 2 at 12:30 p.m., Ages 2 – 4 at 1:00 p.m., Ages 5 – 7 at 1:30 p.m., Ages 8 – 10 at 2:00 p.m., Ages 11 – 12 at 2:30 p.m. and Ages 13 – Adult at 3:00 p.m.
