Press Release: Theft by Deception Arrest

ACCUSED: Robert Cohan 31-year-old Male // Lakehurst, New Jersey
NARRATIVE:
During the months of May and June of 2017 an elderly Wanamassa woman fell victim to a driveway repair scam. The accused later identified as Robert Cohan of Lakehurst portrayed himself as a contractor and promised to make repairs that he had no intentions of ever doing. The victim provided Cohan with nearly $7,000.00 and never had any work completed on her driveway.
On Friday, October 6th Detective Jesse Orbach was notified that Cohan was arrested by Marlboro Township for a similar type scam in their jurisdiction. Cohan was ultimately charged with theft by deception and transported to the county jail pending a future court appearance.
