Weekend events may cause an increase in traffic congestion and potential delays
The Manchester Police Department would like to advise you of events this up-coming weekend that will cause an increase in traffic congestion and potential delays.
SATURDAY- October 7, 2017
This event is the Walk to Defeat ALS that will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 10:30 AM. The walk will start a Veteran's Memorial Park on Elm St.
Route: Start at Veteran’s Park-Central St side
- Cross Elm St @ Central St
- South on Elm St to Granite St on west sidewalk
- West on Granite St to Canal St on north sidewalk
- North on Canal St to Brook St on east sidewalk
- East on Brook St to Elm St on south sidewalk
- South on Elm St to W. Merrimack St on the west side sidewalk
- Cross at W. Merrimack St back to Veteran’s Park
This is an "open course" and participants will be primarily be on the sidewalk, however there will be officers posted at major intersections for crossing.
SUNDAY- October 8, 2017
This event is the Fire Prevention Parade and will take place at 1200PM on October 8, 2017. This event will require a full closure of Elm St from Granite St to Webster St from 1200PM until 200PM.
