Stop the violence; break the silence. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Breast Cancer awareness is highlighted throughout the country during the month of October and it should be, as it is important to recognize the impact of such a devastating disease. Another cause of equal importance is domestic violence awareness. Both are striving for the same goal- No more!
No community is immune from domestic violence.
It has been said that a victim can't even start a plan to leave until they first believe that life on the outside is better and possible.
If you are a victim of domestic violence or know someone who is, please know there is help! Emergency? Call or text to 9-1-1.
