SCV Sheriff's Station detectives investigate reported kidnapping

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station detectives have launched an investigation into a kidnapping. It was reported on Wednesday evening that a 12-year-old female victim was attending soccer practice at a park located on the 23500 block of Bridgeport Lane. When the team went for a run in the adjoining neighborhood, she fell behind from the rest of her teammates. A male adult suspect reportedly approached the victim, and ultimately asked if he could give her a ride. After the victim declined his offer, he grabbed her arm and moved her a few feet. The victim resisted the suspect and broke free of his grasp. The suspect fled to a black vehicle, possibly a Honda or Toyota, that was parked nearby and left the location. The incident was reported a short time later to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. The suspect is described as a M/W, 40-50 years old, approximately 6'0", medium build, and brown hair.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at 661-255-1121.
