The Police Department wants to make residents aware that Clean Water Action, a national non-profit citizen’s lobby, will be doing their annual canvass in the township beginning immediately. They will be conducting door-to-door campaign work, which includes education on specific legislative issues and fundraising for their lobbying efforts. This canvass operates within the hours that the Supreme Court has approved for such work (City of Watseka, et al. v. Illinois Public Action Council, no. 86-631, 1987): Monday through Friday from 4pm until 9pm, and Saturday from 11am until 7pm.
