The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
October 4th
0752 Hours: Officer Jackman investigated the burglary of a JOBOX tool container at the Bayshore model homes on the 37000 block of Willow Street. The loss is construction tools.
1238 Hours: Officer Horst investigated a vehicle vandalism case on the 39600 block of Balentine Drive.
1725 Hours: Officers responded to a minor- injury collision that occurred near the intersection of Cedar Boulevard and Thornton Avenue.
1819 Hours: Officer Mapes investigated a non-injury traffic collision that occurred in the Ranch 99 Market parking lot, 35219 Newark Boulevard.
1911 Hours: Officer Wang investigated a late-reported hit & run traffic collision that occurred in the parking lot of the Post Office.
2141 Hours: Officer Johnson seized the license plates off a 2002 Honda CRV on the 39100 block of Cedar Boulevard for false registration.
