*UPDATE – Victim from La Mesa Neighborhood Shooting Passes Away
On October 3, 2017, during the night, the victim Aldo Alfonso Prado (35 years old) died as a result of his injuries. The suspect, Christopher Artale, was charged with 187 PC – Murder.

Background
On October 1, 2017, at approximately 4:47 pm, the La Mesa Police Department received several 9-1-1 calls regarding a shooting which took place on the 4400 block of Glen Street, in the City of La Mesa. La Mesa Police Officers arrived and found an adult male lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his head. In a nearby home, officers found an adult male who they believed shot the man. The suspect, Christopher Artale (40 years old), was arrested for 664-187 PC – Attempted Murder the night of the incident.
