The Borough of Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer.

Police Officer applicants will have successfully completed a Basic Course for Police Officers or a Basic Course for Special Officer Class II and be waiver eligible. Applicants must possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution. Applicants must have a good reputation and be of sound moral character. Applicants must be between 18 to 35 years of age, possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License, and be a citizen of the United States.

Final candidates must undergo a comprehensive background investigation, as well as, psychological examination, physical examination, and drug testing analysis.

All interested applicants must submit an application, current resume, and the appropriate certifications to Detective Daniel Liptak no later than 8:00pm on Friday, October 13, 2017.
