City of Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris Offers Condolences to Families Affected by Sunday Evening’s Las Vegas Massacre

“Our hearts are heavy and our prayers are many for all affected by the horrible event which took place in Las Vegas on Sunday evening. I offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of all the innocent victims who were injured or are no longer with us,” said City of Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “During such times of hardship, it is important that we as Americans stand united and not allow the senseless and violent actions of one person to define our lives or freedom.”

“Yet, we must also remain cautiously vigilant. As the safety of our residents and visitors is of paramount importance to the City Council and myself, the City of Lancaster and the Lancaster Sheriff Station are working diligently to adapt and enhance our public safety efforts at City events. We do not take this issue lightly and commit to taking the necessary steps to safeguard our community.”
