INCIDENT AT EL CAMINO DRIVE
COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD) last night, Oct. 2, 2017, received a call of shots fired at the 1000 block of El Camino Drive at approximately 9:11 p.m. CMPD officers and detectives responded to the scene and began the investigation into the incident.
Two victims suffered stab wounds and were transported to a nearby hospital to be treated. Their current condition is unknown but the injuries they sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.
Based on witness accounts of the incident, it appears that two gunshots were fired but we have not located any person with gunshot-related injuries.
The suspect, who knew the victims, is currently outstanding.
