Traffic stop leads to arrest of Patoka man on multiple drug charges.
On October 1, 2017, at 8:49 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of North Embree Street in Princeton on a Silver 2004 Chevy Cavalier for failing to stop at a stop sign. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a roadside investigation a passenger in the vehicle, Michael Slunder age 46 of Patoka, Indiana was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Mr. Slunder was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamines. He has since posted a $750 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
