The Windom PD has received multiple reports about counterfeit bills being used at area businesses. Fake bills turned into our agency have been $20 and $5 bills so far. Businesses have identified the bills as fake using special marking pens, but these bills also have several discrepancies including the following:
• Texture and feel, quality of bill
• Smaller
• Color changes on edges, showing possible copying shadows
