Empty the Shelters
Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke in association with Animal Control Director Ronald Butts is proud to announce that Cass County Animal Control is once again partnering with the Bissell Pet Foundation sponsored “Empty the Shelters” event.
As one of 75 shelters participating in the fall event, this will be the shelters second partnering with the Bissell Pet Foundation based out of Grand Rapids MI, which exists to assist animal welfare organizations. This includes helping to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues through pet adoption, spay/neuter programs, microchipping and foster care.
With the Bissell Pet Foundation picking up the tab for the events adoption fees, they are also providing a limited supply of dog leashes for dogs heading to their new homes on a first come first serve basis.
The shelter will be open to the public on Saturday October 14thth from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those looking to add a new pet to their home and giving homeless pets the second chance that they deserve.
Information for the event can be found at www.casscountymi.org or you can contact the shelter for details at (269) 445-3701.
