About the BTPD CPA--

Our Mission: Our mission is to expose citizens to the everyday tasks, the requirements, the culture, the drawbacks, and the rewards of law enforcement. We will work very hard at dispelling misconceptions and the myths created by Hollywood and others about this profession. If we succeed in our mission, you will have a better understanding of what it takes to be a police officer and what to expect during any future interactions.

Curriculum: It should be noted that you may be exposed to some visual material and language that is offensive and tragic. When sensitive material is presented; it is done for an educational benefit and it is always in a professional manner. The following are some of the topics covered in the program: ▪ Traffic Enforcement ▪ DUI Enforcement ▪ Human Trafficking ▪ Investigation ▪ Processing ▪ Use of Force ▪ Firearms Simulator ▪ Police Culture ▪ Patrol ▪ Ride-a-Long ▪ Crime Scene Investigation ▪ Prosecutor ▪ School Resource Officers ▪ Every 15 Minutes ▪ D.A.R.E.
