Sheriff Richard Behnke of the Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies responded to a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Pokagon Hwy and Dailey Road. This crash occurred at 5:23pm on 09/24/2017. The accident occurred when Christian Galambos (46yrs of Hobart,IN) driving a Chevy Trailblazer pulled into the intersection of Dailey Road and Pokagon Hwy not yielding the right of way to Mark Worthham (56yrs of Niles). Worthham driving a Harley Davidson then did not have time to stop, and laid the motorcycle down at the intersection. Worthham then rolled several times as his motorcycle continued down Pokagon Hwy going into the ditch. Worthham was then transported by LifeCare Ambulance to St Joseph Regional Medical Center. Speed was believed to be a factor in the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Worthham was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Assisting agencies on scene were Cass Area Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance, and the Pokagon Tribal Police.
