This is a law enforcement warning. Several individuals have reported sending money - nearly $1500 - to these criminals. Once you send money it is gone!
The Santa Fe County Sheriff warns the public about a phone scam caller that is posing as a "Sheriff or Deputy Hildebrandt."
This scammer is trying to intimidate people into sending money by telling people that they may have an outstanding warrant or court order against them.
Under no circumstance will any law enforcement agency, court official or IRS employee call and request money over the phone.
DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF THIS TYPE OF CRIME.
