9/14 – 5:57 a.m. – Police were called for a suspicious male, who appeared to be confused, was perspiring and was limping, near Casey’s General Store. The officers located the subject in the 200 block of East Washington. The subject appeared confused, nervous, and was unfamiliar with his surroundings. During a search of the subject a hypodermic syringe was found. It was also discovered the subject, who is from southern Illinois, had been in the hospital due to an overdose the previous morning. Millstadt EMS was summoned to the scene, and the subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.
