Hurricane Irma Update! Looking for an update to when City Parks open? How about some tips on traffic safety while traffic lights are out?
- City Parks & Recreation and Aquatic Center Update:
- The City is pleased to announce that all City parks are open, however there may be some portions of each park closed due to power outages or storm related maintenance. For Sims Park, the Splash Pad is shut down due to storm related maintenance. The Grey Preserve low lying areas are not accessible due to rise of the Pithlachascotee River elevation during high tides. The Recreation & Aquatic Center is now open.
- Traffic Safety Reminder:
- Please remember if you drive through an intersection with traffic lights and power has not been restored, drivers should treat each intersection as a four-way stop.
- Children At Play:
- With School aged children not returning to School until Monday, children should not play in stagnant water for health and safety reasons.
