Weather:

• Scattered to widespread rains likely for Mississippi, central and northern Alabama, northern Georgia, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina.
• The heaviest rains will focus over western Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and western/central North Carolina.
• Winds will diminish during the evening and night.
• Highs and hourly temperatures could be 2-4 degrees cooler in areas with overcast skies and persistent rainfall.

Statewide

• Currently, there are a reported 787,398 customers out.

For Metro South Region (South Fulton, Clayton, Henry, Butts, Coweta, Fayette) we currently have the following outages:

·       Clayton                35,569
·       Coweta                  2,471
·       Fayette                  3,799
·       Henry                  18.347
·       South Fulton       49,515
 
Georgia Power Payment Offices:

• Local payment offices will be closed Tuesday
• There will be no cuts to service during the storm

Georgia Power Crew Activity:

• Over 5,500 crews statewide, including help from Alabama and Mississippi Power
• The large number of outages presents a significant challenge, but crews will work hard to restore power as soon as possible
• Restoration efforts may take several days, if not weeks, to complete
