Hurricane Irma Update #10.

**HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE #10**

******HURRICANE WARNING IN EFFECT********

A Hurricane Warning means Hurricane wind conditions are expected somewhere within this area and within the next 36 hours.

As of 11AM, Hurricane Irma continues to batter the North Cuba coast with 125 MPH maximum sustained winds. While interaction with the Cuban coast has weakened Irma slightly, she is expected to strengthen once again as she approaches the warm waters around the Florida straits, and moves towards the Keys and South Florida.

Irma's track has shifted every so slightly west yet again, with the center of this massive storm expected to pass over and very near Key West with maximum sustained winds of 140 MPH tomorrow morning.

While confidence continues to grow with this track, continued deviation in course and fluctuations in wind and strength are possible. The below predictions are just that. Predictions.

During the day tomorrow, Irma will continue her journey north-northwest hugging Florida's Gulf Coast as a major hurricane, making landfall once again around 8AM Monday east of Cedar Key and due south of Rosewood, with maximum sustained winds of 115 MPH, gusting to 140 MPH.

During the day Monday, hurricane force winds, gusting to near 100MPH are possible along the storm's track and west of I-75. Based on the track, there is an increased possibility of tornado's as the very powerful northeast corner of Irma passes near our area. 5-10 inches of very heavy rain is expected.

~~A VOLUNTARY EVACUATION FOR MOBILE HOMES IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF ALACHUA COUNTY.~~
