2017 Community Day

Mark your calendar for this year's Community Day!  Community Day is Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Village Park between 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m.  See flyer for more details.


Cat License Month

September is cat license renewal month. All cats 7 months and older must be licensed by the end of Seotember 2017. For your convenience click here for the cat application for licensing your cat. If you have questions or need additional information about cat licenses, please call the Clerk's Office at 609-844-7000.


Rabies Clinic Scheduled

The Lawrence Township Health Department is holding a free rabies clinic for dogs and cats on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the National Guard Armory on Eggert Crossing Road. If you have questions or need additional information about the clinic, please call the Animal Control Officer at 609-844-7092.


Road Work

  • NJDOT Project on Route 206: Route 206 continues to be closed in both directions to complete the bridge project. Please see important details from NJDOT regarding this closure.
  • The Route #1 construction project is moving along.   The circle is now open at Route #1 and Whitehead Road.  The construction project is still ongoing - please continue to use caution in this area.
  • Blackwell Road - Mercer County continues bridge repairs on Blackwell Road between Cold Soil Road and Federal City Road. Please following the posted detours.


Brush and Branch Collection

  • The week of September 11 is Zone 2 for brush and branch collection.  If you are not in Zone 2, please be courteous and  DO NOT place brush in the roadway - you must wait until your designated week. 
  • DO NOT PUT GRASS CLIPPINGS IN THE ROADWAY. Grass clippings must be disposed of as regular solid waste.  Your clippings must be bagged and placed in your blue cart.  They may not be disposed of in plastic bags and left at the edge of the road or in containers other than the blue Township carts. 
  • Yard waste and vegetative materials shall not be placed in an area of the street greater than four (4) feet in height. All branches shall be no greater than 5 feet in length.
  • Tree limbs larger than 8 inches in diameter may not be disposed of through curbside collection.
  • Stumps, dirt, grass, sod, pressure treated wood, stones, plywood, and construction material will not be collected.
  • Yard waste shall not be placed within 10 feet from the nearest storm drain outlet.

2017 Reduced Cost for Curbside Organic Collection Program!

The 2017 cost to participate in this program has been reduced to $12.00 per month (will increase to $17.00 again in 2018) for all participants in the Curbside Organic Collection Program. For details and information on how to sign up, please click here.
