#018 Coroner’s Case
At 2:40 p.m., officers were detailed to the 5300 block of Tanglewood Park Drive. An employer became concerned when and employee failed to show up for work. Officers went to the home and received no answer at the door. After speaking with an acquaintance they learned the occupant had not been well. They entered the home to check on the welfare and found the 49 year old male resident was deceased. After conducting a preliminary investigation, a deputy from the Alameda County Coroner’s Office responded and took over the death investigation.
#029 Warrant Arrest
At 5:31 p.m., officers responded to the area of Brown Road / Research Ave after a community member reported seeing a male passed out in a vehicle. They contacted the 37 year old Fremont resident and found that he was wanted in Santa Clara County for vandalism. The male was arrested without incident and transported to Fremont City Jail.
#004 DUI Arrest
At 1:43 a.m., Officer B. Smith attempted to stop a Toyota Prius for a broken tail lamp on Fremont Blvd, just north of Thornton Ave. The driver continued to travel onto Alder Ave, then Portola and Feliz Court, where the vehicle finally stopped. The 44 year old male driver informed officers he had a suspended license. Officers recognized signs of intoxication and ultimately the driver was arrested for DUI.
#032 Battery/Brandishing
At 10:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a battery and brandishing a firearm call which occurred in a parking lot located in the 43600 block of Pacific Commons Blvd. A female victim was inside a vehicle when a male suspect hit her in the head and brandished a firearm. The suspects were gone when officers arrived. Paramedics responded and treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene. Ongoing investigation.
