Press Release: Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Over 30 Bags of Heroin

DATE/TIME: September 5th, 2017 at 10:50pm

LOCATION: State Highway 66 – Ocean Township, NJ

OFFICERS INVOLVED: Police Officer Ryan Krug and John Hanna

ACCUSED: Crystal Algor 35-year-old Female // Barnegat, NJ

NARRATIVE:

On September 5th, 2017 at approximately 10:50 Officer Ryan Krug was on patrol in the area of State Highway 66. He observed a vehicle that had committed a moving violation and conducted a traffic stop.

During his investigation he learned that the passenger, later identified as the accused Crystal Algor provided him with a false name. Once her true identity was confirmed outstanding warrants were located for her arrest. While in custody it was discovered that Algor did possess heroin which was located in her undergarments. In addition to the heroin hypodermic syringes and additional drug paraphernalia was located.

Algor was charged with possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes and providing false information to a police officer. She was lodged in the county jail pending a future court appearance.
