Press Release: Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to a Heroin Arrest

ACCUSED: Carl Thompson 27-year-old male // Wall, New Jersey
NARRATIVE:
On September 1st, 2017 at approximately 6:27pm Police Officer Dean Schoch was in the area of the area of the Asbury Park Circle when he observed a vehicle being operated by subject who was not wearing a seatbelt. Officer Schoch conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 18 North.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was also operating the vehicle with a suspended license. A passenger later identified as the accused, Carl Thompson was found to be in possession of heroin and a syringe. Thompson was taken into custody, processed and released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance.
