Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 9/5/17.

-3400 blk FM 303, Levelland: Alarm. Deputies were dispatched to an alarm call in the area. The call was cancelled prior to arrival of deputies as it was an accidental activation.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Theft. Deputies attempted to meet with a complainant about a theft report. After multiple attempts at the residence and by telephone, no contact was made with the complaining party. Deputies followed up at a later time for the report.

-700 blk Moreno, Anton: Suspicious Activity. Deputies responded to a call about a group of juveniles possibly attempting to make entry into a residence. The individuals were located and information was collected regarding the contacts. No offenses were reported.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Theft. Deputies met with a complainant regarding a theft. The complaining party did not want a criminal report filed at this time.

-Hwy 114 at Leon Rd, Smyer: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a vehicle crash in the area. They provided traffic control and assisted until the scene was clear. Troopers worked the crash scene.

-Equalizer Rd at Blackgold Rd, Levelland: Shots Fired. A complainant reported someone shooting in the area. The area was searched and no one was located. No shots were heard when deputies arrived, and no further activity was reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, investigative follow-up activities, patrols in areas of the county, and civil process service.
